CONCRETE WITH FIBERS

Avoid cracks, increase impact strenght

Manufactured with 20 mm aggregate, at most, it includes in its composition different types of fibers, which can be of propylene, metallic, glass wool or polyester in order to reduce the risk of cracks or increase impact strength. In the case of metallic fibers, they can even replace the reinforcement.

Field of application

• Industrial pavements, from airports, indoor or outdoor, or large surfaces
• Structures that due to their requirements do not admit cracking
• Elements subject to impacts.

Benefits

• It prevents the risk of cracks, increasing the surface of the disk, thus increasing the distance between the expansion joints.
• It improves fire resistance with polypropylene fibers.
• It can replace the traditional reinforcement with metallic fibers.

Application system

• Direct pouring, with pump or cupola. The curing precautions must be the same as for conventional concrete.
• The fiber can be added in the concrete plant or at the site, since it requires very little mixing time to ensure homogeneity.
